Sunday 16 July was a special day for
Ventnor with a ceremony to name the Pavilion in memory of John Hilsum, an
inspirational and much missed man who served the Club so loyally for more than
40 years and whose vision gave the Club such a wonderful facility.
The ceremony took place and the Club was delighted to welcome so many members and non-members alike - photos will be 'up' soon.
As part of the Club’s ‘Ventnor Day’,
the ceremony was preceded by matches for young players
incorporating the ECB All Stars initiative followed by the senior side welcoming East Meon.
The successful Reverse Raffle organised by Rob Snell led to Rosemary Blackman winning 2nd prize of £100 and Mark Turpin the top prize £250!
Playing members will be provided with FREE SS training shirts and shorts upon payment of 2017 subs.
