FIXTURE CARDS NOW AVAILABLE

Ventnor began their season with two victories in friendly fixtures with Sway and Shanklin at Steephill over the Easter weekend. On Saturday, Neil Westhorpe, who missed the majority of last season with injury, hit an unbeaten 79, Tom Leon 47 and Hugh Calloway 45 in a total of 237-9 against New Forest side Sway.  During the course of his innings, long serving left hander Westhorpe passed 10,000 runs for the club. The visitors replied with 187, Zach Wells, Zeph Wells, Hugh Calloway and Dane Dovale each taking two wickets.

On Easter Monday, Alex Horton took 5-29 to help restrict Shanklin to 187-7 for whom James Lucy (44) and Matt Lambourne (46 not out) top scored. Ventnor had earlier posted 239-8, Ali Cotton (60), Ben Attrill (42), Alex Leon (31) and Sam McQueen the main contributors.
